Here’s Joe’s roundup of 2015, originally published on LinkedIn.

As we reach the end of MMXV what better time for The Romans to look back on what we can only describe as a massive annus mirabilis (there’s probably a cream for that).

Here are X things that Misha and I are especially proud of:

I.  We actually started an agency. Backed by the excellent adlads at Mother.

II.  We pitched and won some A-MAZ-ING clients for UK, pan-Euro and global work including the likes of Spotify, BrewDog, Samsung Europe, The Macallan and Innocent.

III.  We hired some totally brilliant people to come up with ideas for our aforementioned A-MAZ-ING clients.

IV.  We brewed the world’s first transgender beer for BrewDog, using hops that had undergone a “hermaphroditic sex change” from male to female, scoring mad coverage around the world in national and LGBTQI media (a casual 1.1 billion reach in just under 3 days wuuttttt!)

V.  We developed and implemented a scientific experiment for Samsung Europe to prove for the first time ever that watching UHD television is more emotionally engaging than HD TV. #FACT

VI. We used emoji as currency for the first time ever for the launch of Innocent Coconut Water.

VII.  We chartered a plane and surprised aforementioned brilliant people with a trip to France for a spot of lunch. (We couldn’t afford the fuel to hit up Rome. Soon tho).

VIII.  We implemented a timesheet system. (SRSLY DO YOUR TIMESHEETS FFS).

IX.  The guys got cov for dayzzz. Broadcast cov. Print cov. Online cov. Social cov. Regional cov. Even that sweet sweet financial cov. Like, literally, cov on tap. Not least for Spotify – in the last six months alone busy Romans issued and managed 60 separate campaign stories.

X.  Finally, we had a whole lot of fun. Because PR is really fun, isn’t it? Here’s to our brilliant industry and a super successful 2016 for everyone.
